Google Digital Book Project passing through Revised Settlement

Google, one of the major search engines is expected to loose control over millions of online digital books after approval of a revised legal settlement by Federal Court of US. Such concessions in digital book project is an outcome of heavy scrutiny by the Justice Department, publishers and authors who claimed that this huge agreement of $125 million will give google much control and authority to impact the pricing distribution and other related aspects of emerging market of digital books. This could also be a move towards the violation the copyright laws. On the other hand Google is also trying to make some provisions and settlements to keep the deal alive. The revised plan is expected to offer more flexibility in reselling processes and price discount on these electronics books as well.

Google Acquisition of AdMob- Entering the New Era of Mobile advertisement

Google has succeeded to find a strong hold in the largest mobile advertising market, AdMob for $750 in stock. AdMob is a marketplace which provides a great opportunity for both mobile publishers and advertisers to get together at the same platform and to boost their businesses through attractive and detailed advertisement. Ads are created there to target specific places, mobile manufacturing companies and end users.

According to Google’s Susan Wojcicki, “Mobile advertising has enormous potential as a marketing medium and while this industry is still in the early phases of development, AdMob has already made phenomenal growth in a very short time. AdMob is the quintessential Silicon Valley startup — generating outstanding year on year revenue growth — and we’re excited to welcome this talented team to Google”.

AdMob CEO also added,” We’re proud of the progress we’ve made towards accomplishing this goal, and joining Google will only accelerate this process, ultimately leading to very real benefits for end users around the world. As publishers and developers generate more revenue from their mobile products, they will invest more, and their mobile offerings will become richer, more creative and more robust.”

To give this deal a final shape, Google and AdMob have signed an agreement with defined terms and conditions. But some Traditional closing conditions are still there to be finalized. This huge agreement will provide Google direct and greater access to this expanding marketing medium than ever before. Only within the three years of its establishment, AdMob had made tremendous progress and still heading towards new horizons.

It has been reported in a press release issued by Google that this agreement will give a great boost to Google’s efforts to develop and analyze advanced mobile advertising formats. It is also being expected that with the passage of time this industry will open the doors for new marketing media as well.
